Windy City Corvettes in the Midwest Region has been very active in Charity work since they were incorporated in 1990. Over the years, through the efforts and leadership of their Charity Committee, the Club has raised funds to support a variety of charitable organizations. Starting in 1992 the Club began their long standing relationship with the Illinois Spina Bifida Association (ISBA). In December of 2016 the Club presented a $50,000.00 contribution to ISBA. Along with a 2016 Split the Pot amount of $220.00 and payment of $1,100.00 for the ISBA picnic, the Club has to date donated over $835,000.00 to ISBA. From 1998 through 2015 the Club's yearly donation to ISBA was made as part of the Chicago Auto Show First Look for Charities. At the 2016 First Look event the Club had a display of each generation of the Corvette. (2016)

On Saturday, December 3, 2011, East Tennessee Corvette Club of the Southeast Region, held its 11th Annual Angel Tree shopping event at a local Wal-Mart in Knoxville Tennessee. Fifty-five members participated by purchasing the entire Christmas wish list for 117 needy children in east Tennessee. All totaled, a record amount of $9,862.00 was donated to the children. Angel Tree was started in the Knoxville area in 1975 and currently provides Christmas for over 4,500 children. The Club raised the money during various fundraisers throughout the year, the largest being the annual car show and silent auction at our sponsor dealer Reeder Chevrolet. After the shopping trip, Reeder hosted a catered holiday party for all members in their showroom. (2011) In 2012 East Tennessee Corvette Club continued their support of Angel Tree by donating $9,400.00 to 115 needy children. (2012) In 2013 East Tennessee Corvette Club continued their support of Angel Tree by donating $12,300.00 to 140 needy children. (2013) In 2014 East Tennessee Corvette Club continued their support of Angel Tree by donating $14,730.00 to 180 needy children. (2014) In 2015 East Tennessee Corvette Club continued their support of Angel Tree by donating $15,000.00 to 182 needy children. The Club also donated $1,000.00 each to Ben Atchely Veteran’s Home, Knoxville Area Rescue Mission and East Tennessee Children’s Hospital. (2015) In 2016 East Tennessee Corvette Club continued their tradition: $12,500.00 to Angel Tree for 125 needy children (increase to $100 per child) $2,500.00 to Ben Atchley Veterans Home $2,000.00 to East Tennessee Children’s Hospital $2,000.00 to 2nd Harvest Food Bank of East Tennessee $2,000.00 to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital ALSO....at their December, 2016 meeting the Club passed the hat and collected $758.00 for the Dolly Parton Foundation to help Gatlinburg, TN fire victims. (2016) In 2017 East Tennessee Corvette Club continued their tradition: Angel Tree – Knoxville TN - $10,023 Second Harvest Food Bank – Knoxville TN - $1,500 St. Judes Children’s Research Hospital – Memphis TN - $2,000 Ben Atchley State Veteran’s Home – Knoxville TN - $2,500 East Tennessee Children’s Hospital – Knoxville TN - $2,000 National Corvette Museum – Bowling Green KY - $600 Total Charity - $18,623 (2017)

Corvette Troy in the West Ohio Region recently celebrated its 25th year of charity fund raising by again presenting a $20,000 check to the Miami Valley Spina Bifida Association. The club also recently supported other charities, including the children’s Special Wish Foundation, ALS/Lou Gehrig organization, Christian Auto Repair Program, Needy Basket food program, Giving Tree school supplies, and sending WWII veterans to DC. In 25 years, the club has donated more than $380,000 to support Dayton-area charities and awarded 38 new Corvettes. The club’s fund raising event next year will again be a benefit drawing to award two 2010 Corvettes to the lucky ticket holders. (2009)

San Jacinto Corvette Club of Houston, Texas in the Southwest Region celebrated their 50th birthday in 2007 in a grand way by giving back to their local community and supporting the following charities: Big Brothers/Big Sisters Hope Village Foundation Boys and Girls Harbor Ronald McDonald House Houston Humane Society Lone Star Boxer Rescue Habitat for Humanity Mothers Against Cancer National Corvette Museum Through a variety of activities such as car shows, fun runs, and sponsoring a children's home during the holidays our 200+ SJCC members contributed over $39,000 and close to 500 hours of time to our Houston community. Our most recent event was the 4th annual Kemah Corvette Show on March 29, 2008. This event raised $7,800.00 for Big Brothers/Big Sisters and the Houston 100 Club. This event continues to grow in popularity with over 150 cars in attendance at the 2008 show! (2008)

Members of the Capital City Corvette Club of the Michigan Region gave back to the community in a big way in 2007! They put on events throughout the year and raised money to help the Greater Lansing Food Bank, US Marine Corps Toys for Tots Campaign, provided scholarships for two local automotive students, and adopted two families for Christmas. In addition, each year they hold a car show at Potter Park Zoo and raise funds that have been used to purchase medical equipment for the animal hospital and help build a new eagle exhibit. More than $7,500 was donated back to the community in 2007! (2007)

Corvettes of Temecula Valley of the West Coast Region participated in the Riverside County "Spark of Love" Toy Drive. More than 20 Corvettes caravanned out to Anza, which is a small community about 90 miles northeast of San Diego. The firefighters of Station 29 welcomed them with open arms, hot coffee and Christmas cookies. The Club's generous donations doubled the contributions they had already received. Toys were distributed to deserving children in the local area. (2005) In December 2006, 25+ cars again caravanned to Anza Fire Station to deliver donated toys for the Riverside County "Spark of Love Toy Drive" which provides gifts to deserving children in the local community. For the second year in a row, the firefighters of Station 29 welcomed the group with coffee and cookies, and posed for this picture. (2006)

Windy City Corvettes of the Midwest Region supported the Brookfield Zoo by participating in the Zoo’s 2005 Holiday Magic celebration. There are over 300 small Christmas trees that line the walkways around the Zoo. Companies, communities and clubs each donate approximately $200 for each tree. The trees are lighted at night and they open the Zoo on weekends at night. It is very impressive to visit the zoo and see all of the trees lighted. As a sponsoring organization Windy City Corvettes was assigned Christmas Tree No. 343 to trim. Bob and Nancy Burns and Ken and Cindy Jastrzab spearheaded the event. The Burnses took pictures from the Club Web Site and laminated them as ornaments. The Club donated a number of Windy City Corvettes decals which Ken Jastrzab affixed to the large plastic ornaments. Carol Galassi donated the C4 emblem to be used for the star atop the tree. (2005)

Northern Illinois Corvette Club of the Midwest Region has contracted with their County to help keep the roadside clean along a very busy section of Perryville Road in Rockford, IL. Throughout the year Members get together on a Saturday morning to pick up all the trash thrown by passing motorists. Although not a desirable job, the Members get a lot of satisfaction and a lot of "approval honks & waves". (2005-2008)
